What is the difference between lan and ethernet cable
LAN cable refers to the cables for carrying data in computer networking. There are two main types of LAN cable. One is the standard straight through cable, usually known as Ethernet patch cable , which is used for connecting computers to routers or switches.
It relies on the cancellation affect caused by the twisting of the wire pairs to handle EMI. The other type is a crossover cable, which is used for connecting two computers directly without routers, switches or hubs. As for straight through vs crossover cable, they use different wiring standards in the connectors of the two ends. The two connectors of straight through type use the same wiring standards, either TA or TB.
While connectors of crossover adopt different standards, one connector uses TA and the other one uses TB. LAN cable belongs to Internet cable. LAN cable can deliver Internet data or information to the end users via physical RJ45 patch cables, behaving like an Internet cable.
While Internet cable contains a wider range of cables like fiber optic cables, telephone wires, HDMI cables. Actually, any cables used for transmitting Internet information can be regarded as Internet cable.
As not all ethernet networking wires are unshielded, some are STP shielded twisted pair. Apart from this, ethernet cables have seen a long history of progression from 10 to megabytes and later from 1 to 10 gigabytes.
Some data centers have even reached to 40 G and sometimes, it goes beyond G. Any specific type of data cable which helps in computer networking is Lan cable. It is specially meant for usage in small distances. It includes most kind of coax and stuff terminated with a BNC or ethernet cables. These Lans use wired connections to link or access any data. These Lans are also known as two-tier Lans.
These are made up of powerful computers called networks that help in managing disk drives, printers, and network traffic. These Lans serve personal computers, workstations and help to run applications. They are simple to set up but do not perform under heavy workloads. Each computer or nodes have an equal share in running of these Lans. Lan cables help in data transfer at a much faster pace than telephone line connections. But there is a limitation in the number of computers they can support and the distances at which they can transfer data.
Hope this information aided in solving the confusion pertaining to Lan, ethernet and network cables. Furthermore, we assume that two concepts are now clear as to what do we mean by Lan Local area network and Wan Wide Area Network. Whether it is Ethernet or Lan cables, they are network cables that provide connectivity to devices and help with data transfer.

Users have to spend extra money to expand the Ethernet connection. What LAN?
It provides a simple and cheap communication platform. Users can easily use the same software in different computers connected to the network rather than purchasing a separate license. Disadvantages LAN has distance-related limitations.
It is expensive to set up a LAN. In LAN, a server crash may impact all of the computers. It covers limited areas, so users have to spend more for covering huge areas. Ethernet Vs. Reliability Ethernet is not as reliable as LAN. There is no transmission-related limitation.
