Can you remove items from toolbelt

Many people put stuff they don't want into a wooden chest and shoot it. Some mods have machines that can destroy unwanted items eg Flare Stacks, Void chests, etc.

The "normal" way to trash items in the early game is to put it in a wooden chest and destroy that chest grenades or shotguns work very well, but you can always just use C to shoot whatever you want with a normal gun as well. Later on you'll just have a massive number of storage chest and you'll just put your unwated items in your "trash" slot, robots will take them and put them somewhere so that if one day you need it you'll be able to get it. Ok, this worked out. I just needed one more grenade.
