Yes, that cute albeit creepy giggling bundle of joy that lit up the skies of Teletubby land? She's now years-old and made a rare television appearance on The One Show this week, where they celebrated the programme's 20th anniversary.
Guest Holly Willoughby was asked by presenters Matt Baker and Michelle Ackerley to pick the laughing tot out of the audience. Confident in her choice, the presenter appeared to head straight for Jess but picked a man standing two rows behind her! What you may not know is that the chirpy TV tot who played the Teletubbies sun is now a fully-grown woman, in the third year of a dance degree at Canterbury Christ Church University.
Jess Smith, now 21, first revealed her identity back in when she stunned the world - and reminded everyone just how old they were getting. Then 19, she explained that she had kept her identity secret throughout her entire life, only to tell her uni friends that she was the iconic giggling baby in the kids TV hit.
Jess, from Chatham, Kent, first revealed her secret whilst playing a game with fellow students, where everyone had to tell the group something which they'd never have guessed about each other. And little did her friends know that they were sitting with the iconic TV sun, whose giggling face rose over Teletubbyland at the start of each episode.

According to her mother, Anji Smith, to film everything they "just sat [Jess] in front of a camera and she just laughed and smiled at her dad" via E! Seems easy enough. As exciting as it is to be such an infamous character on a beloved children's television show , it did take Smith years to finally confess she was the Sun Baby.
