Today, 75 years later, Valley School carries on General and Mrs.
Our goal is to stimulate in each young person lifelong habits of moral behavior, seeking wisdom, and doing good works for others. Other times, the work is more explicit Recently, our Upper School students stashed their books in their cubbies and rolled up their sleeves to do some service work on and off campus. Our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade whistled while they worked at the Waterford Volunteer Fire Company, where they cleaned, sanded tables, varnished outdoor furniture, and painted.
We're so proud of how hard our students worked to lend a hand in our community, and are so happy to see them feel the satisfaction of helping out. As always, the emphasis was on hard work, preparation, grit, good sportsmanship, respect for others, and fun! We were so proud of how our student athletes represented our Valley Core Values on and off the fields. Thank you to our coaches, volunteers, facilities staff, and--most of all--our players from Valley School, North Allegheny, Pine Richland, Westmont Hilltop, Derry Area, and Mount Pleasant for a job well done, and a wonderful day, overall.
